Thornton Spanish Academy Mission

Thornton Spanish Academy

Until 1953, the area that is today known as Thornton, Colorado, was entirely farmland. Today, Thornton is a major suburb just outside Denver, located in Adams and Weld Counties. 11,000 Spanish speakers and 35,000 people of Hispanic/Latino origin make up the city’s 115,000 residents. Thornton is also becoming a major center of transportation. It is estimated that by 2025, it will be the home of most of the FasTracks commuter rail network.

For parents in the Thornton area, the World of Wonder Children’s Museum (WoW Children’s Museum) can provide a fun day of learning and excitement. The Wildlife Experience is a great option for families interested in exploring Colorado nature together, and DenverKids.com can act as a one-stop resource for children’s resources in the Greater Denver area.

One out of every 10 residents in Thornton speaks Spanish in the home. Do you want your child to develop essential communication skills? With the convenience and efficiency of the internet, it’s never been easier.
